World Radiography Day 2024: Kaduna branch flags up free ultrasound scan services, medical outreach, others

The Kaduna State Branch of the Association of Radiographers of Nigeria, embarked on series of events which involved medical outreach, visitations to secondary schools and media outlets, as well as sporting activities, to mark this year’s World Radiography Day.
The Chairman of the association in Kaduna Comrade Ahmad Adamu, made this known in his remarks during the opening ceremony, at the Primary Healthcare Unguwar Rimi Kaduna, where the event was flagged up with the medical outreach, involving free ultrasound scan services to the people of Gabasawa area of the state.
Adamu expressed his appreciation for the successful flagged up of the historic event, and described the gesture as a form of relief for patients in order to assist them in the process of their medication.
The chairman also highlighted the essence of involving secondary schools visitations among other series of the events, in the 2024 celebration of the world Radiography Day.
According to him, the visitation events convey the good tidings about the need for young people especially women to joined such important medical field.
In his remarks, the treasurer of the association Mr Madi Shuaibu, pointed out the impact of the Radiography aspect of medication being the eyes of medical practice.
He also called on the governments and stakeholders to put more effort in establishing Radiography laboratories in public hospitals in order to meet up with the high demands in the sector, so as to ease the costs of such diagnosis on the teaming patients in Kaduna State and Nigeria as a whole.
“Moreover, some of the patients who benefited from the medical outreach organised by the Association, expressed their gratitude as they lamented having been relieved of the cost of the services, which they were referred to by their physicians in order to ascertain and proceed with their medication”, he said.
On the other hands, the president of the Association of Radiography Students, Kaduna State University Chapel, described the events as remarkable in the journey of their study, especially as they were practically involved by the main Association in order to carry them along. End
