WIKE EXPLAINS HIS FREQUENT VISIT TO SITES OF GUZAPE, JAHI ROAD PROJECTS

Barrister Nyesom Wike, the Honorable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, said that the purpose of his frequent trips to construction sites in the FCT is to make sure that the contractors honor their commitment to finishing the projects by May of this year.

The Guzape Diplomatic Area, Guzape Lot 2, and the entire development of Arterial Road N20, which runs from Northern Parkway (Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Expressway) to Outer Northern Expressway (Murtala Mohammed Expressway), are among the locations the Minister visited.

Having been assured that the roads would be finished by May 2024, the Minister expressed his satisfaction with the quality and speed of the work being done on them.

The Minister stated, “The purpose of the visit is to visit each contractor and see what commitments they have made, as well as whether they will follow through on their promises.

e also conducted this type of inspection on Saturday. We visited the Diplomatic Area in addition to Guzape today.

“We are currently in N20. I can tell you that when I visited earlier, the work was not as extensive, and I am quite impressed with what I have seen thus far, indicating that Gilmor will turn over this project to us before we make it public.

The FCT Minister was accompanied on the visit by senior officials from the FCT Administration, including the Executive Secretary FCDA, Engr. Shehu Hadi Ahmad, and former Senator Phillip Aduda, who represented the FCT.
