According to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), loading operations at the Old Port Harcourt Refinery are currently underway.
The confirmation was provided by Group Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mele Kyari during the NUPENG Towers’ commissioning on Wednesday in Lagos.
Human rights advocate and attorney Mr. Femi Falana, as well as anyone else who might be unsure, were invited by Kyari to join the NNPC Ltd. on a tour of the refineries in Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna in order to confirm their status.
Additionally, he clarified the debate surrounding product blending by asserting that it is an essential step in the refining process and therefore not a crime.
“Your vehicles will be destroyed by off-spec products that you bring out if you do not blend. He also clarified the controversy surrounding product blending by claiming that it is not a crime because it is a necessary step in the refining process. “In order to bring products to the specifications of different countries or regions,” he explained, “blending is required.”
Additionally, Kyari congratulated NUPENG on the successful completion of the NUPENG Towers and urged the union to keep putting communication and cooperation first in its dealings with the Federal Government and NNPC Ltd.
He revealed that more investments and the possibility of more jobs in the oil and gas sector were the results of the President’s Executive Order interventions in the sector.
