NESREA SET TO UNVEIL MORE EFFICIENT IMPORT CLEARANCE SYSTEM TO AID TRADE FACILITATION

The Director General of National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency, (NESREA) Dr. Innocent Barikor says the Agency will soon unveil a more robust and efficient system to improve the import clearance regime of the agency with an eye towards full integration with the National Single Window Project.

Dr. Barikor gave the indication when he received the Project Manager of the National Single Window Project, Dr. Tola Fakolade and his team at the headquarters of NESREA in Abuja.

He said the Agency has aggressively scaled up its system to a dynamic model that would enhance the productivity of the Agency as well as interface with other relevant systems such as the National Single Window Project and the B’Odogwu platform of the Nigerian Customs Service.

The NESREA DG commended the efforts by Dr. Fakolade and his team towards promoting unified platform for trade facilitation, while restating NESREA’s support for the process.

Dr. Fakolade said the visit was part of engagement towards the onboarding of the Agency into the Single Windows Platform.
