Minimum Wage: Gov Zulum meets C”tee, orders payment this month

*Approves N3bn payment of entitlement to families of deceased workers

Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, convened a meeting with the state minimum wage implementation committee and directed that civil servants be paid the new national wage this month.

The meeting was held in Maiduguri on Monday at the council chamber of the government house, according to released signed by the SSA new Media to the Governor, Abdurrahmam Bundi and made available to newsmen on Friday.

In the meantime, Governor Zulum has approved the release of N3 billion for the payment of entitlements to families of civil servants that died in Borno State.

Accordingly, the governor made a symbolic cheque presentation to the Nigerian Union of Pensioners.

He also assured that he will clear the backlog of gratuities owed and ensure an upward review of monthly payments of pensions in the state. End
