LEAVE LASTING LEGACIES IN YOUR HOST COMMUNITIES – GEN AHMED

Corps Members have been encouraged to strive towards leaving lasting legacies of different projects that would improve the standards of living of residents in their respective host communities.

The NYSC Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed, in his address to the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream Two Corps Members at Kebbi State Orientation Camp in Dakingari, Suru Local Government Area of the State today, said Community Development Service, being one of the four cardinal programmes of the Scheme, was designed to enable Corps Members execute personal or group projects that would add value to their host communities during their service year.

General Ahmed further stated that the Scheme would not tolerate indecent dressing from any Corps Member. He then stressed that the approved NYSC dress code must be strictly adhered to.

He warned the Corps Members against boarding vehicles from unauthorized motorparks and urged them to patronize only approved motorparks. They are also to obtain permission from the NYSC before embarking on any journey.

The NYSC Kebbi State Coordinator, Alhaji Bala Dabo Kagarko while presenting his camp report to the Director General disclosed that all Camp activities were going on smoothly while the Corps Members have shown high level of discipline, commitment and perseverance.

He also said a total of 1,300 Corps Members were registered comprising of 771 males and 529 females.
