KEYAMO RETAINED AS MINISTER OF AVIATION AND AEROSPACE DEVELOPMENT

Following the recent cabinet reshuffle by the Federal Government, the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON), has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for retaining Festus Keyamo SAN, CON FICArb (UK) as the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

The President of AON Alhaji Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina, FSAN made this known in a Press release, stating that Mr President’s decision was based on his interest for development of Nigeria aviation industry and hard work on the part of the minister.

He described Keyamo as one whose policies and exceptional leadership has brought tremendous development in the aviation sector, adding that he was not surprise at the retention.
“His proactive engagement with the industry, his focus on safety, and his commitment to the success of both local and international airlines have restored confidence in the sector. It is clear that he has the best interests of the nation and the aviation sector at heart”

Alhaji Abdulmunaf described Mr Keyamo’s dedication in the implementation of the Cape Town Convention and ardent compliance with international standards to aircraft financing and leasing as uncommon.

The AON helmsman stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda is evident in the aviation sector going by the Keyamo’s efforts which has upgraded Nigeria’s aviation sector from 40 percent to 80 percent in recent rating.

He further added that AON will continue to support the Minister’s innovative ideas towards the growth and development of the aviation sector in Nigeria.
