HoSF RECIEVES ‘MOTHER OF SKILLS’ HONOUR.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoSF), Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, CFR has been recently honoured as “Mother of Skills” by the National Board on Technical Education (NBTE) during a courtesy visit by the Board’s Executive Secretary, Prof. Idris Bugaje, on 7th May, 2024 in Abuja.

Receiving the honour from Prof. Bugaje, the HoSF reiterated the cordial relationship between the OHCSF and the NBTE, which has resulted to the two of the Board’s Institutions being certificate awarding institutions. She assured that the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), which is a Parastatal of the Office will soon integrate into its curriculum most of the Boards’ programmes to be in tune with the realities of time. Dr.Yemi-Esan also promised that the work on the integration of the Board’s activities into the Scheme of Service is already near completion.

Speaking earlier, Prof. Bugaje intimated that the efforts of the HoSF in uplifting the nation is worth celebrating. He said, for the HoSF to take keen interest in the matters of skills acquisition speaks volumes of her sensitivity to the realities of our time, especially in this country and for this reason, the Board has decided to honour her with the title of “Mother of Skills”. He however expressed hopes that the unification of the different skilled employees through the Scheme of Service will be a great achievement for the Board and the Service as a whole.

The Executive Secretary further handed over the Manual of the Board and other important documents to the OHCSF via the HoSF.
