Kwara Government, NAEAP to Strengthen Tertiary Education Through Strategic Collaboration

The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing tertiary education by partnering with the National Association of Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP) to improve institutional governance and policy implementation.

Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, made this known while receiving a delegation from NAEAP during a courtesy visit to her office. She emphasized that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration remains dedicated to strengthening higher institutions and ensuring students have access to quality learning.

“Kwara State Government is open to partnerships that align with our vision for a robust and efficient tertiary education system. We welcome NAEAP’s expertise, particularly in capacity building, policy formulation, and institutional governance,” Kawu said.

She commended the association for its efforts in advancing educational management and assured them of the government’s willingness to explore collaborations that will boost the sector.

Speaking earlier, NAEAP Chairman, Dr. Muritala Tuku, lauded the government’s strides in education, noting that the association is eager to support ongoing reforms. He highlighted the importance of data-driven decision-making, professional development for administrators, and the adoption of global best practices.

“We recognize the efforts of the state government and are committed to contributing our expertise to improve the quality of tertiary education in Kwara. Through collaboration, we can develop innovative solutions to sectoral challenges and ensure the system remains responsive to societal needs,” Dr. Tuku stated.

The discussion signals a potential partnership aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of tertiary education institutions in the state.
