Kwara Government Lauds Ambassador Tajudeen Olesin Foundation for Educational Contributions

The Kwara State Government has commended Ambassador Tajudeen Ibrahim Olesin, Founder of the Tajudeen Olesin Foundation, and other philanthropic organizations for their significant contributions in advancing education in the state.

Alhaji Saadu Salau, the Special Adviser to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, expressed this appreciation during the closing ceremony of a free summer lesson organized by the foundation in Ilorin.

He emphasized the foundation’s commitment to supporting students through scholarships and funding JAMB registrations.

“This is the 6th edition of Ambassador Tajudeen Olesin Foundation, and the founder has evidently deployed resources to support secondary school students through scholarship awards and payment for JAMB registration of many students among others,” Salau noted.

Salau praised the state’s focus on education under Governor AbdulRazaq’s leadership, stating that over 600 schools have been constructed, rehabilitated, and remodeled, with students excelling in national and international competitions.

“We also call on other well-meaning citizens to emulate Ambassador Olesin by prioritizing education. One of the greatest challenges facing Northern Nigeria is out-of-school children, but Kwara has been able to avoid this due to Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to education,” Salau said.

In his remarks, Ambassador Olesin highlighted the foundation’s impact, including the renovation of school facilities and the awarding of scholarships to high-performing students.

He also discussed the foundation’s community projects, such as addressing electricity challenges and road repairs in Ilorin East.

The event was attended by notable personalities, including Hon Yinusa Oniboki of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Prof Abdulganiyu Ambali, and traditional leaders.

Prof Ambali urged students to apply their knowledge wisely and commended Ambassador Olesin for his commitment to education.

The state government reaffirmed its dedication to collaborating with stakeholders to ensure educational success for all students in Kwara.
