ISDB EYES NIGERIAN HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT OPENS SCHOLARSHIP FOR 2024-2025 ACCADEMIC YEAR

In a recent letter by Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, President of the Islamic Develoment Bank to the Hon. Minister of Finance, H.E. Adebayo Olawale Edun, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) has been reported to keenly focus on
supporting human capital development of Nigeria.

In addition to its mainstream development financing activities, to ensure socioeconomic progress in its member countries.

In its Realigned Strategy (2023–2025), IsDB reiterated this commitment by dedicating an entire pillar to support comprehensive and inclusive human capital development. Through this pillar,
IsDB will undertake capacity development initiatives, including scholarship programs, to address member countries’ pressing development challenges.

In his words, “I am pleased to inform you that applications are open for the IsDB Merit Scholarship Program for Ph.D. and Postdoctoral Research in High Technology for the academic
year 2024-2025 (announcement poster attached). Interested candidates from your esteemed country are invited to apply via the IsDB scholarship online portal (www.isdb.org/scholarships)
no later than 20 April 2024″.

The president urged the Hon. Minister’s office publish this announcement in leading local journals, newspapers,and media and share it with relevant educational and research institutions in the country, in other to attract the largest possible number of distinguished candidates,
Moreover, it would be highly appreciated if an institution from your esteemed country,
preferably from the Ministry of Higher Education, is designated to serve as a focal point for the
implementation of IsDB scholarship programs in your esteemed country.

supporting them in their educational endeavors.
