2024: AGE empowers over N2,000 Nigerian researchers for N5bn NRF

A body, ‘Academic and Grant Writing Enclave (AGE)’, said it has empowered over N2,000 Nigerian researchers for N5 billion, National Research Fund (NRF) for 2024, to Boosting National Innovation.

According to AGE, those empowered in the recent training session, which included over 2,000 researchers from 58 universities, 20 polytechnics, 11 colleges of education, and 8 research institutes, are set to enhanced the chances of Nigerian researchers in securing a share of the N5 billion National Research Fund (NRF) for 2024.

A release issued by the body on Saturday after Webiner meeting stated that the impact is far-reaching, adding that over 13,000 participants have bee trained, 650 institutions engaged, and a presence in 80+ countries.

“Additionally, more than 400 academic professors, 6,800 PhD holders, and 200+ NGOs have benefited from AGE’s programs.
On 13th December 2023, the Academic and Grant Writing Enclave (AGE) was established and has since rapidly risen to global prominence.

“AGE’s recent training session, which included over 2,000 researchers from 58 universities, 20 polytechnics, 11 colleges of education, and 8 research institutes, is set to enhance the chances of Nigerian researchers securing a share of the ₦5 billion National Research Fund (NRF) for 2024.

“AGE’s impact is far-reaching: over 13,000 participants trained, 650 institutions engaged, and a presence in 80+ countries. Additionally, more than 400 academic professors, 6,800 PhD holders, and 200+ NGOs have benefited from AGE’s programs.
Following the webinar, Dr. Wadzani Dauda Palnam, Director of Research and Development at AGE, highlighted,

“This initiative is a strategic investment in the future of Nigerian research. By equipping scholars with the skills to write compelling concept notes, we are not only increasing their chances of securing funding but also ensuring that the research addresses our nation’s critical needs.

“Professor Mohammed Aliyu Paiko, Vice Chancellor of AbdulKadir Kure University, added, “A strong concept note is key to securing funding. With the right guidance, our researchers can unlock significant resources to advance their projects’, it stated.
